If
you are
- a
member of the bar in any of the fifty United States,
- a
Federal, state, or local law enforcement officer,
- a
paralegal,
- a
law professor,
- a
member of Congress or state legislature,
- an
elected official or legislative staffer,
- or
work in any capacity with immigration policy-setting,
and,
you believe in the work of the Friends of Immigration Law Enforcement
(FILE), and would like to apply to become a member, you may send an
email
with your telephone contact information and someone will get back
to you.
Membership
in FILE is confidential and still free, and it includes a subscription
to the FILEgram, our e-newsletter. The FILEgram subscription list
is restricted and unpublished, and FILEgrams are brief and infrequent.
The
FILEgram and membership is a great way to:
- keep
abreast of our activities,
-
have the opportunity to share ideas with like-minded people,
- have
the opportunity to pitch in with help or insight on FILE projects
where member has special expertise,
- see
special job postings,
-
form strong alliances between the professional law enforcement
community, state and Federal lawmakers, and civic minded attorneys.
If
you are not any of the above, but believe in the work of FILE and
would like to help out, we gratefully accept donations,
but, more especially, we encourage citizen activism and participation
in the democratic process. A great way to become active is by signing
up for the ProjectUSA ezine,
a free electronic newsletter sent out once every week or so to over
20 thousand concerned Americans. Each issue details efforts to educate
Americans about immigration, offers commentary, and provides a positive
action recommendation.
